So Much

Endless nights, sleepless dreams

Passion builds inside

Darkened days, restless heart

Exposing what they hide

So much to wonder

So much to hope

Tiny words, distant thoughts

Trapped too far away

Anxious tones, new regrets

Weighting down today

So much to mourn

So much to fear

Burning breath, racing pulse

The two become one mind

Cold shoulder, icy tear

The touch they left behind

So much to want

So much to hate

Mocking moments, broken years

Can one be whole again?

Quiet love, too long, too short

Everyone still pretends

So much for ease

So much for now
